Eco Schools Day Summer 2017

Our Eco day started with an annual litter pick.  This is where pupils, teachers and members of the community pick litter from around the school and the local area.  We picked litter from the playing fields, along Dick 'o the Bank road and all the way to the village shops.

Sadly, the most common piece of litter we found was plastic.  When we got back to school, Mrs Duerdoth talked about the effects of litter on our environment.  We thought particularly about the litter in our seas and how this is damaging the environment.

After our litter pick we learnt about the sea greass meadows around Dorset and how important they are.
