Reception and Key Stage 1 Sharing Assembly

Sharing Assembly

Sharing assembly was led by two Year 2 readers.

There was time to celebrate all of the fantastic achievements from outside of school, including dance, swimming, music, football, rugby and much more! It is always so wonderful to see what amazing things the children do outside of school!

Then each class shared what they had been learning this term.
Reception class shared their learning about 'Traditional Tales' and treated the audience to all of the repeated refrains that they had learnt from stories such as 'The Gingerbread Man', 'The Three Little Pigs' and 'Jack and the Beanstalk'.  They also talked about what they had learnt during their 'People Who Help Us' topic, including how to keep safe need fire and showing some of their amazing emergency vehicles that they had made using junk modelling materials.

Some children shared what they had learnt and what they were proud of.  We can certainly say that Miss Padfield and Mrs Trent were very proud of them!
Year 1 shared all of the interesting information they had learnt about plants and flowers during their science curriculum this term.  They remembered a lot of information using a super song that they sang to us all.  They showed some wonderful scientific pictures that they had drawn and some labeling of the parts of the plant too.

Some children shared what they had learnt and what they were proud of. Mrs Ashby and Mrs Sparkes were very proud of all the children in year 1 for being so confident up on the stage.  Well done Year 1!

Year 2 started by each child sharing what they had learnt and what they were proud of this term. They were mentions of planets, maths, fractions and a visit from little baby Alfie! Then, year 2 explained that they had been learning about repetitive poetry and performed one that they had been learning in class.  They then explained how they had added some of their own lines in the same style and shared these too.  Some of them were very funny!

Well done year 2!
We celebrated all of the children that had completed their WOW card this term.

Lastly, we congratulated this term's 'Citizens'.  This is a very special award as it is voted for by the children.  Congratulations to this term's winners.  You should all be very proud of yourselves.
